Members of the AIC Board of Directors and "Friends of the Center" have requested University approval to conduct a fund raising campaign. The campaign goal will be to establish an endowment to provide a permanent funding source for AIC research and outreach activities. We also plan to use the endowment to recognize the ten years of leadership that was provided by Harold Carter, the Center's founding director.
Bill Allewelt, AIC Board Chair, has stated, "State legislative support for the Center does not cover all of the current costs associated with research and outreach. Now is the time to launch a fund raising campaign to ensure full funding and mark the retirement of the Center's founding director, Harold Carter. Our desire is to begin the campaign this summer. As development of the campaign progresses we will keep all of our supporters informed."
