Karen Jetter received her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego. Upon completion she found herself in the Republic of Cameroon, working as a Peace Corps volunteer in agricultural cooperative development. She received her Ph.D. in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Davis. She is currently an associate project scientist with the Agricultural Issues Center, University of California. Her research specialties include valuing the impacts of invasive species, agricultural policy analysis, and how the food environment influences the demand for foods.
